I just came back home from Ganghwa Island.
Although it was just a short trip for two days, it was so wonderful!
I think I definitely needed a break. Last week my routine was nothing but 'working - eating - working - eating - working -sleeping', and I thought I'll get mad if I do nothing to escape from this insipid daily life.
I'll tell you more about the trip later. Too tired now... ^^
(Five minutes later)
Just got a phone call from my parents^^ They are travelling in Europe since last month, and they've just arrived in Berlin(Germany) yesterday. Mom said today they've been to the place we lived. I asked her how she felt. She said, "Well... How to say... Somewhat nostalgic... You know... Did you feel the same when you visited there four years ago?" Yes, I know very well that feeling. Even tears stood in my eyes for a moment that time, when I saw the old apartment buildings, the fountain, the trees, and the school, the playground - after thirteen years I left there.
This time it's my parents' turn to be on their way abroad, to be free from work and household, to visit Europe again. I'm looking forward to hearing more of their trip.
The second World Cup match against France begins next morning at 4:00. In fact, I thought I'd better in bed that time, not to affect my routine and work, coz I know very well how hard it is to recover from lack of sleep. However, now I'm not sure.
(On the way home, on the subway, while talking with a friend.)
I : I will not set my alarm clock ringing. If I make it to get up at 4:00am, I'll watch the game. If not, I'll sleep, like usual.
Friend : I bet you'll miss the game! I'll give you 5,000won if you get up at four o'clock!
I : Oh, don't forget what you said right now! I'll let you know tomorrow. If I make it, you must give me 5,000won!
Friend : -_-;;;;;
I had a weird dream the day before yesterday: I met Ahn Jung Hwan in India. (What the hell was he doing in India, dressed like a Tibetan monk???) That's really weird, as I'm neither a big fan of soccer, nor of Ahn Jung Hwan. Of course he's a great player, but I think I like him more coz he's very handsome. Hehe:P

You grew up in germany? That's pretty cool. I know a few asians in canada who also grew up in germany.
Well, it was a good experience for me and my family^^ There are lots of Korean in Germany. I guess Germany has the largest number of overseas Korean and Korean migrants in Europe. Many Koreans went to Germany as nurses and coal miners in the 1960s and 1970s. Besides, Germany was a kinda 'liberated area' for people who fled from the dictatorship and became 'political refugees'. Another kind of overseas Koreans in Germany are those who came to study.
