Tingri (2004.11.16.)

At the guesthouse, in front of our room.
We(I and my companion) and two Westerners were the only guests.
As most places in Tibet, their facilities are very simple; no shower, no washroom.
The washbowl you see in the photo serves as a basin. Water is available from the well.
There's also an open-air toilet; be thankful if there's a place called 'toilet' - in some places they don't have any, and when you ask "Where is the toilet?", they answer "Anywhere!"
The elevation is about 100m higher than Sakya, but I didn't feel so cold - much better than in Sakya.

Self-portrait on the road.
