Fenghuang Old Town, China (Dec.2005)
Finally... uploaded some new photos.
Fenghuang Old Town(凤凰古城) is not a well known travel destination among Korean backpackers, but it seemed that it's very popular to Chinese people.
As most of the places I've been in China are the western part, I decided to spend about two weeks in the south-eastern part in my last visit to China.
Shanghai was not that much impressive, and probably I would have not gone there if I had no intention to see some friends.
I got to hear about Fenghuang from two Chinese friends I met during my previous trip. Since one of them was studying in Nanchang, I thought it'll be good to visit Fenghuang from there.
I've already heard a lot about the awfulness of the Chinese hard-seat(硬座) before, but the train from Nanchang to Jishou(吉首)was exactly the one that "taught" me that.
Since there was no seat left, all I could buy was just a ticket with no seat. The train departed in the morning, and (according to what I remember) it was supposed to arrive at the following night. The problem was that the train was late for more than 7 hours, and I ended up arriving in Jishou at 5am the next day. The worst thing, of course, was that I had to be standing all day long.
Fenghuang is a nice place, though it was not that much interesting as I thought.
Probably that was the first time I got bored while traveling.
Back in Seoul, I was quite disappointed about the photos I took during my trip.
Yesterday, it just occurred to me that I haven't uploaded those photos yet. After looking at them again and again several times, it seemed that they are not so bad as I thought last year.
An 'excuse' for uploading this new album.

상해가 진짜 재미없는 도시에요?
아이구, 내일 난 상해에 갈 거예요. 어덯게 해요? =)
From the pictures, it seems that time has come to a stop in Fenghuang. Old charm of Fenghuang is very enchanting.
